He has worked as a journalist, teacher and university lecturer in his career to date. Julian has lived in the USA, Sudan, Japan and Portugal, returning to live in the UK absorbing the different ways of thinking and learning in the world. Learning through experience and actively seeking a valid solution seems a common goal in most cultures, hence his interest in reflective writing and upcoming title Write Reflectively (SAGE, 2022)
