Article update with video of the event

But what does Critical Thinking really mean and how do you do it? This video provides a different view on what critical thinking is, and how to do it effectively both for your university studies, but also for your graduate life beyond university.

Critical Thinking is increasingly expected of university students.

Dr Sarah Ivory introduces the three aims of critical thinking:

  1. Quality of Argument
  2. Strength of Evidence
  3. Clarity of Communication

Sarah shows how she uses argument maps (a framework for critical thinking) and gives you the opportunity to practice them yourself.

Students of all levels and disciplines will find this session valuable.
